MONARCh BUTTERFLY-Most common species of the milkweed butterflies. Found in North America, painted in black and bright orange and yellow, they migrate all the way from the Rocky Mountains to some parts of Central and South America. When the Monarch feeds on the milkweed plant, they develop a poisonous substance on their bodies that makes them distasteful to birds and other predators!
