Dāna (Giving)

Dāna (Giving)The word Dāna, related historically to the English donation. Dāna is the virtue of selfless giving. That is giving out of the goodness of the heart with no expectation of reward. The most obvious form of giving is material things but we can also give less tangible things such as our time, energy and thoughts. Indeed, as humans we are very fortunate in that our opportunities for giving are limitless.
